I Support Law Enforcement

Although some police officers are way out of line, I do support the police officers that keep the peace and make the ultimate sacrifice. The recent months have been rough for law enforcement. I wish people would realize that attacking officers will only make things worse. The bad ones will only get worse and the rest will become extremely paranoid. It must be rough working in a career field that is bashed by the federal government and media constantly. If everyone of them decided to walk off the job there would be nothing but chaos.

I will go into the Air Force for security forces (military police). But I feel like a civilian police officer has it a lot harder. Fortunately, I don't hear about Airman shooting at police too often. I may or may not get a civilian career in law enforcement in the future. It depends on how my life goes and whether or not I re-enlist.

In my younger days I've knew a few criminals, at this stage I know from more police officers. People are people, good bad and ugly with all, but the cops are far more respectable on every level of being a man than any 'honorable' thief could ever be. I think it is almost a calling, like being a teacher or even a priest, if it is where you are meant to be, you will discover it and not imaging doing anything else.
