I Have Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia doesn’t mean you can’t know who cuts your arm. Plus they have better medication today to help the symptoms. @canusernamebemyusername

@Mmiker I know I was just curious about the op's thought process. Like they used to be one poster on here that would talk about their family cutting their toes at night but it was actually just cracked dry skin. So I'm always curious how one knows reality from something else.

@Mmiker They can now make something that was never really there to begin with disappear. When did doctors become magicians🤔

@badgay I would hope so. Those meds can have some nasty side effects though. I've seen several people that can't even fill out a form at the doctor for falling asleep every few seconds:(

And some can fully function. Depending on severity of the disease and the body relating to the helping meds. @canusernamebemyusername

@Mmiker True. It is a lot of trail and error to find the best therapy.

@Premium It can feel like it. But no it is just broken biology. I am on abilify myself. It is a newer antipsychotic. It is the only one that doesn't have side effects for me. But don't give up. It is really hard and takes a lot of time to find the right doctor and meds. But the symptoms can be relieved.

@Premium :( I have depression so I know how that feels. The med I mentioned actually helps me with that. Like when Im depressed I can zone out and disassociate. The abilify helps stop that. Or at least helps me to snap back out of it and into reality again.

@canusernamebemyusername Now I am not able to understand reality and find medication.

@canusernamebemyusername No, I have no Doctor. I am at the end of my life. I have doubt on my life.🤔

@Premium Well can you make an appointment? Do you have anyone that can do it for you? Also have you already been diagnosed? That can save a lot of time if you already have been diagnosed.

@canusernamebemyusername No, I can't. Everybody took decision to stay distance from me.

@Premium Well you can always go to the emergency room or your local health department and tell them what is going on and they should be able to refer you from there. You could ask for a case worker since you probably need someone checking in with you during treatment.
