We don't ! There'd be uproar if we had to do that !!!
In England. You take your voter card with your name and address on to the polling station.
You show the folk at the desk your name, address and voter no.
They cross it off their list and give you a ballot sheet with the names of all those seeking your vote.
The names are listed along with the party they represent and a big square box next to their name.
You go into a booth. Pick a pen. Put your X next to the candidate you want to vote for. Then fold it in half and take it to a big metal paslocked box with a slot at the top to put it in.
Polls close at 11:00pm
After that, independent verifiers come in and empty the boxes counting for each candidate.
Once it's done it's checked a second time and the Returning officer responsible then has to report the result.

We have our right not to vote. If we don't believe it a candidate, we shouldn't vote based on principle. Something tells me this year will be the year where a large population won't vote.

I wouldn't if I lived there, that's for sure. This line-up of candidates... lol.

Yeah, it's a shame that people spend so little time using the internet to learn. Although we can't always be learning. We gotta have some fun sometimes too.

If I had to choose between them, probably Gary Johnson but there's even things he stands for that I don't agree with. That's the problem. Who knows if I'll [i]ever[/i] vote because I have a feeling there will be no candidate that I will 100% agree with. That if someone makes it, there could be benefits but also bad consequences. That's why voting should be a personal decision. Nothing you should have to explain so explicitly to everyone.

@JewStar4Life: That makes sense. No one should force you to vote if you don't want to. Those soldiers also died so that you could have the right to not vote too lol
