I hope these vets are able to protect the water protectors out there and help turn this thing around. It's very disheartening to see those people being brutalized like that and nothing being done about it.

Unfortunately, I read it on blogs and news sites that aren't the most reliable sources. But mainstream news is quiet about DAPL except to give a skewed version of events.
OK, well thank you for the information anyways, it is heartening to think there is hope.

I am scared Trump is going to order the army in to force everyone out as soon as he takes control of the big red button, we all know he has part ownership of the oil company that is trying to push that pipeline through, and Money is his #1 goal as President. That could lead to some bad events which could spiral.

He can't make a profit if the pipeline is really losing funding. Hopefully, people can force banks to withdraw from this project.

They have put their lives in danger and many went through hell, and are now suffering from PTSD resulting in profound personality changes and mental illness and as a result can no longer lead a normal life.I don't believe they get the help and support they deserve, nor the understanding.

@berangere: if they are by themselves yes.

@Justpeaceandlove: And sadly many of their problems are due to their PTSD,their marriages having broken down and their families avoiding them as many now have short stress tolerance level and turn to alcohol and drugs to try and fix their symptoms, which only compound them!

@ Justpeaceandlove I meant war veterans.

I was at a protest (LGBTQ) locally and one red-neck decided the old fat guy would be a good target for his abuse. When he asked what right I thought I had to take over a park.. I simply said 16 years of service.. that shut him up.
Veterans are all different, but after toeing the line while serving, some of us love expressing ourselves.

Thank you for your service!
Good for them, I hope they show up by the thousands to stand in front of those asshole cops and give them all the finger. I would love to be there myself. Bring some wetsuits and some metal shields. They will be needed to protect the innocent from the police torture and cruelty.

I hope there are a LOT of lawsuits coming out of this when it is all settled. That Pipeline plan must stop.
@Justpeaceandlove: Read some of the stories from the water protectors. They are unarmed standing their ground, meanwhile the police are shooting them with rubber bullets, bean bag guns, concussion grenades and spraying them with water when it is well below freezing outside causing hypothermia. Over 300 have been taken to hospital so far and they are still standing ground. One lady had her arm destroyed the other day by a police grenade. Do you think this is OK?

If you care about humanity, why are you arguing with me, get out there and help out. I am not American so my doing so would be frowned upon, but clearly money is causing all these issues. A single oil company is trying to make more money, at the expense of anyone and everyone, is that right in your eyes? Who are YOU defending?

I don't have time to argue with you. I obviously am for the protesters. I'll do my part and you can do yours okay.
