I Find It Hard To Express Myself

When I find I'd like to say a thing or two,
my mind becomes trapped in a different realm.
In this realm, every syllable of said thought or feeling I'm about to express is analysed and scrutinised. This analysation involves multiple perspectives (mine, the other person's, mine through the other person's, the person's once they hear what I'm about to say, and whether it's generally okay to say in the many values of the universe).
If, by any chance, it's generally suitable and wouldn't leave me feeling like shit after saying it, I decide to say it.
Most of the time, however, it's too late - everybody's moved on.
Another thought swallowed.

I would just be honest and say what's on your mind. Don't worry how they will react, it will prevent you from expressing yourself.

@ItsHunter That's true, and I'm slowly working on it.

You need to learn to do what writers do; do your editing later.

@greenmountaingal Can you elaborate on that?

Think of your conversations as rough drafts. That's how a lot of people think about what they say. It doesn't have to be perfect, just expressed. You can correct and elaborate if necessary later on in the conversation.

seems like you expressed it very well👌

@Lilnonames It's a paradox in itself x)
