I Have a Bird

The bird is in my garden,
She is free,
She sings aloud,
Because she's free.
If I go out and say hello
She will fly away,
But if I write about her
She will treat me to a concert of her song.

@waleskinder You are so beautiful. Like the little skylark who let me approach you yesterday. And talk to you. Your beak so rose coloured. Your feathers marked with that white streak. But you were small. A teenager in the bird world. Like me. Trusting.
