When I am kind to others with no expectations of anything in return it makes me feel better.

It's a sad but understandable to feel that way especially when you have been burned in the past by people. There are some truly genuine kind souls out there, but it is good to be cautious people aren't always what they seem. Some are wolves in sheep clothing as the saying goes, and some are angels in leather.

There's actually a lot of people that feel like this. I was called a liar once online for making a comment that I'd helped someone when there also was the opportunity to take advantage of them and I didn't.

@SW-User I always figure that someone who would go so far as to call someone they don't even know a liar is someone who knows he or she would've taken advantage in that situation and feels guilty.

@bijouxbroussard Yes!! Just what I thought, thanks.

It’s interesting. Did you have ulterior motives when you were kind to others ? Most people who don’t understand kindness are not kind themselves, but that doesn’t seem to be so with you. 🤔

@bijouxbroussard no ulterior motives I did it because I cared and wanted to help.

@plague Does it seem so unlikely that others might feel the same way ? 😊
