I Jog

55 miles jogged past eight days, 7 miles walked. Slow miles but still okay. I am in that jogging mode now, the gym has become non existent. Content to do curls and presses at home. Any good HIT exercise dvds out here you like?

HIIT is an acronym hijacked by numerous people to describe their workouts which are generally low key interval sessions. Real HIIT is probably the least effective method of expending energy and is a tool that only advanced athletes should be thinking about.
Are you talking about 'interval' sessions? For somebody who is hoping to lose weight and improve their general fitness, I'd keep the whole session a moving one, ie 10 min warm up (that's what I need these days to start functioning properly), then something like 3 mins increased pace with 2 mins recovery four times and 5-10 minutes jogging at the end, which will give you 35-40 minutes running time, so you should get 4 miles in at that.
