I Love Discovering New Music

Its funny how listening to one song, maybe three years ago, has opened up my musical horizon to discover some amazing new people.

It basically started with a cover of Let Her Go by Birdie. This started the Passenger journey. He toured with Stu Larsen and The Once. Instantly fell in love with them both and went to see them all in concert. From their support acts we discovered, Jed Appleton. Another amazing artist. We then we to another Passenger gig and he had Gregory Alan Isakov as a support artist. Even though I was horrendously drunk I remembered how awesome one of his songs was.. Then of course, found him on youtube and booooom, we were gregoryed.. We see him again on tour at the end of the month (excitededdddeded)

All the artists led unto us listening to covers of songs and peoples original works on YouTube channels, The Mahogany Sessions and Barn on The Farm. There we found Amber Run and Hudson Taylor. They are two awesome bands with some goosebump moment tunes.. We saw Amber Run this year and supporting him was a band called Island and we've just been listening to them non stop for weeks now. We will hopefully see them soon.

Somewhere in the mix, a random YouTube playlist brought us Elmore, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and The Paper Kites. I hope we can see all them too.

I guess I just think it's amazing how from one song, you can find soooo many more amazing musicians and lyricists. Some of these people are only just starting out too, which means we get to see them before anyone else does. And I won't mind telling anyone that when they're proper famous 馃槏馃槏馃槏
