I Love the Music of Frank Sinatra

I've said this before but this weekend is definitely "One For My Baby (And One More For The Road)

When your life has fallen to shit, you have no one you can talk to about it without making you feel like shit, and all you have is a bottle and your mind, Sinatra definitely is the man to listen to.

You kinda feel like you can relate to the hurt he sings about. And there is no one better that sang those songs of hurt and lost better. But a close second is John Lennon

— Yes, and "In the Wee Small Hours" is his finest album. And Nelson Riddle's arrangements are genius.
And John L. isn't even close.

@helenS I agree with you on the first but not the second. Lennon was my idol growing up. No matter what I was going through Lennon had a song for it. My heart was his hurt. So I can relate to John Lennon on a very deep level

@beckyromero I hate big cities. But this song makes me reconsider.

@LovesJazz2 I love his post-bop work with the 2nd Great Quintet. Nefertiti. Abstract beauty.

@helenS My favorite is "Embraceable You"
