I Will Remember You, But Will You Remember Me Is The Question

Do you remember? When you were the wind in the leaves, and the waves seducing the shore?
I reach out to you now, but you have forgotten me. You have obsessed over the things you desire, and no longer know who it is that you are.
You have forsaken peace for material, such material that you will have to relinquish when you wither away.
Why, then, do you pursue the temporary and abandon the abiding?
You were given eyes, and forgot how to see. given a tongue, and forgot how to speak wisdom.
