I Like To Explore Nature

I took my puppies for an adventure recently, on a trail just down from my house. It's amazing what beauty can be found in unexpected places.

If this beautiful area is near your house, I am the most envious person here today. So gorgeous, such variety. Wow.
@Byron8by7 She could become a mermaid, my friend!

@PoetryNEmotion Im not going to lie, I've thought about it! 😅
@euphemiaelectra Yes! I can see you like that now! *laughs merrily* I bet there are all kinds of wonderful stories about traditions like that there!

@PoetryNEmotion Not so much mermaids, but the Hawaiian culture is very rich in stories, and very proud. Everywhere here has a story.
@euphemiaelectra That is what I have heard. Can you hula dance? And wear the flowers around your neck? LOL. Leis?

@PoetryNEmotion I haven't trained in hula because I don't think it's culturally appropriate for me. But yeah, I've given and received my fair share of leis.
@euphemiaelectra I thought people were encouraged to dance. I know you are so beautiful.

@PoetryNEmotion For shows and stuff at tourist spots, yeah. But all the Hula dancers I know are actually pretty protective over their arts, and actually pretty judgemental too. Not in a bad way, but no one wants their culture appropriated and they take it very seriously. Seeing a white Hula dancer is automatic cringe material. Haha
