I Had a Bad Day

I know it's pathetic, but I don't want to bother my friends with this question and I really need advice. Is it okay if I go home for the night? I've had a bad day, my anxiety has been absolutely unbearable, my boyfriend and I have been having a rough time in our relationship. I spent the last 3 hours crying, he is asleep. We just recently moved to this apartment - I don't like it and I feel bad here, but it's a long story. My only dream right now is to take my dog and go home for the night (it's a 15 minute walk), to my stuff, my old room, and a computer with the internet access, to try to relax and get some sleep. I know he will be mad when he wakes up to find out I left, but I have no idea what to do here, without my stuff, with no books, computer, tv etc., with him asleep. What do you think? I'm sorry you had to read about my pathetic life.

That sounds like an easy fix to stroll back to the homestead for the night. If he doesn't take it well then you should consider whether he is the right guy for you.

Easy fix or a TOO easy fix? Am I being unloyal to my boyfriend?

I don't see it that way. You have to do something to ease your current anxiety and depression before you can tackle any longer term solution. Hopefully he realizes that you have fragile times and need some patience and understanding.

Thank you. I doubt he'd understand though, I wonder if I am too much of a fragile, sad sucker. :/ Maybe I should be tougher and make it till the morning comes.

I'm no counselor but it seems to me that you need to be nicer to yourself at times like this. I'm sure you could survive the night in the apartment. It might include a few more hours of crying. I don't see that being so good for you though. There might be a time that you have to toughen up and not succumb to your anxiety but those sorts of strides are best taken when you are well not when you are anxious.
