Do you have some sort of alternate WiFi network, in case the primary one you use goes down?

I do, thank goodness.

Once.

We had two different internet connections at home. It made no sense at that time but I had it regardless as a "backup". There are 4 cellphone prepaid connections which can still be used as a hotspot if required but I thought that was an overkill. I finally stuck to one service provider with a higher speed. I have a backup but I don't use it and its a prepaid connection.

That would be very bad for average to low income folks.

Supposedly a business line is more reliable (and pricier) aka static IP address?
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
@Mindful Yes, a static IP address is pricier though and that is one reason why most ISP's assign their customers dynamic IP's instead. It's more cost effective for the provider and the customer.

You mean if your Internet provider is out? This would mean paying two separate bills.
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
@Northwest I just mean in general. For example, Comcast/Xfinity offers either a free one hour pass, or a pass for up to one month for a fee, if you are not already a regular customer/subscriber. All you simply need to do is create an account with them.

@SubstantialKick I wasn't aware they did that. Where would you use these credits?

I have 2. One for wide coverage and one for speed.
