Tell us something sciencey that you are awed and astonished by

That whole thing about the living body merely being a temporary arrangement of atoms, which didn't exactly originate here on Earth.

Material from space rains down on us all the time, and we are all made out of that stuff. Literal star dust.

A tiny fraction of the material which make up our material selves has actually been in space less than a thousand years ago!

That's incredible.

So the next time your stoner friend is blathering on about being one with the universe and all.. just remember.. there is a lot of truth in that.
Taking LSD in the 60's made me realize that. It made me realize almost everything I learned in school or some church is just myth or outright lies.

After all these decades I still see the world differently than most

@Grateful4you I've taken LSD many times throughout my teens and 20's, as well as LSA, mushrooms, and other psychedelics. It certainly taught me a lot about myself and the world around me.

I've always seen these substances as being a catalyst for humans to achieve perhaps what is an intended cosmic knowledge and perception.

I subscribe to the theory that man's early interactions with these chemicals is what triggered our evolutionary leap up from the animal kingdom giving rise to art, language, music, religion, ect..

and it's in our best interest to re-examine our relationship with these substances as we progress into our future.
@MougyWolf Probably one of the most insightful, beautifully composed posts I've read all year, thanks for making my night with this one my friend.

It would take 2,540,000 years to get to our nearest Galactic neighbour, Andromeda, travelling at the speed of light.
