Has this ever happened to you? I received a notification last night that my email had been hacked, or entered by someone who was not me.

Today I received a notification that someone went in to my television/internet provider account and changed my password. Fortunately I was able to change it back.

Why would someone do something so useless?

I don't know about tv or internet provider account.... But I know people who make at least thousand dollers each monts just by selling hacked accounts like netflix and other streaming services, game accounts, vpn accounts for a very cheap price.
I would suggest you to change the email address and use 2step authentication if possible.

You have to be careful about that kind of thing. They could have been fake emails to trick you into giving them your passwords. Take a lot of care when it comes to stuff like that. Very few companies will email you stuff like that.

It's usually more about using your identity or accounts for other purposes, than actually doing something directly to you, from what I gather. It depends on the case, though.

Happens to me all the time with the computer techs from India and Pakistan, 👎🏼just can't get rid of them.

@texasdaddydom I did, actually, but I changed it back to something I was able to access.
