I Am A Human Being First

“...having at birth received your whiteness or blackness or brownness — or any other hue and shade — this makes you no more, nor no less, better or worse, wiser or dumber, more or less talented than any other person whatsoever. White, brown, black or blue, we are all God’s children, and the tint of our outsides is not a determinant of our virtue or lack of it. ”

I agree.
In the 21st century this should be a statement of the obvious, shouldn’t it ?
Too bad there are still folks who can’t accept it. 😞
We’re conditioned to pay attention to differences rather than similarities. School, family of origin, media all need to change to reflect that skin colour NO LONGER MATTERS. I admire all those that can connect with anyone. And make their circle full of people that are “different”. @bijouxbroussard

I'm not sure blue is all that healthy a colour to be born with 🤔
They’re his words, some people say purple. My daughter was born purple. One of her middle names is sage, which is a medicine to my people, a woman’s medicine, I felt the need to name her a medicine. But it’s sweetgrass that’s purple at the roots (not always) but it’s men’s medicine. I know, convoluted but it’s my thought process for dealing with the colour she was born. @Quizzical

@Annii That's a nice name.
She was about 2 months old when her great grandmother held her and said, in our language, “this one, she’s women’s medicine”. 💜 My Baby daughter also caused many women to get pregnant, lol, I warned them, “don’t hold her too long or you’re going to get pregnant”, they didn’t listen 😂@Quizzical
