Ladies: do you use face masks? What's your favorite?

I had been using the aztec clay mask ( the one with the pyramid on the front) for a few months with no problems other than it being super tight on your face.

A few weeks ago, I decided to put it on my neck as well as my face. It made my neck so itchy and I had welts on it for days.

It healed up a little but has been itchy every now and then since then.

I applied the mask again yesterday , [b]only to my face[/b] yet I got the same reaction that I did when I actually did apply it to my neck weeks ago😐

So I guess I need to use a new mask now ....

It’s only bentonite clay, could it be too drying for you skin?

@TwiddlerofThumbs it's very drying. I've only used it on my neck once. But apparently I now have a reaction to it, even though I didn't put it on my neck this time. It's helping my skin though, but meanwhile my neck is itchy and has welts

@iamnikki Welts?!? Stay far away from that. I'm sure you already know that.... Does make me wonder what impurities are in the clay, or maybe it's the toxins that are being pulled from the skin?

@TwiddlerofThumbs not sure, may just be too strong. Also, it said to add apple cider vinegar for best results so that may be another issue.

@iamnikki might be. I've never used vinegar with clay so I have no clue. Do you normally have dry skin, oily or all of the above?

@TwiddlerofThumbs usually oily. Vinegar helps with oil. But the instructions say adding vinegar is best. I'll try it one more time in a few weeks with water. If I have the same reaction I'll trash it. Got calamine lotion on my neck☹️

@iamnikki The only mask I've used in a few months is Youth To The People
Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask with Vitamin C.

I'm not big into clay masks, but occasionally I will mix some Kaolin clay with Aloe and add moisturize the heck out of my face after I rinse it off.

Usually though, I just use a Niacin serum or a Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum
from the inkey list along with their squaleen.
