@BoobooSnafu I can relate to that - I can't draw for shit but as a musician I sometimes lack creative inspiration. Just got to keep plugging away at it 🙂
@BoobooSnafu yeah, I get that. Sometimes I try and play something and I'm hopeless, other times it flows nicely and I play well. But I agree, it is disheartening when it's not happening the way you hope it will
@Maeglin I never force it... If it's not flowing, I go do something else.
It's one of the reasons I gave up being a graphic designer - 9 to 5 five days a week.... Trying to constantly come up with fresh ideas...it was mentally and creatively exhausting after a few years. I always took a small drawing book everywhere I went, because you never knew when ideas would hit. Can't remember how many company and product logos started off on a beer coaster in a night club! 😁
@BoobooSnafu totally, inspiration can hit at any time. I've got up in the middle of the night to play a guitar many times because a riff has popped into my head! But it definitely can't be forced - I've been working on a solo album for nearly a year now because inspiration has been lacking for more than half that time
@Maeglin yeah, those long dead stretches are frustrating.... It's your desire and your want.... But the pure feeling can sometimes be frustratingly allusive.
