I Like Gimp

Tried Both... Photoshop and GIMP....   They are very compatible programs, the biggest difference is the cost, the screens are different and things are in the different places but when you get to playing around with it you find so many things that work just the same way and called the same but just in different places.

All of my photo editing has been done with GIMP and it is great to use, may not be as intuitive as photoshop as first blush but you can do the same effects.
