I Love to Hug

Hugging is one of life's little pleasures. Obviously there are different types of hugs, from lovers, family, friends, colleagues, etc. but each one comes with it's own sense of intimacy and beauty.

On Sunday I was at a friend's house and her daughter who hadn't been feeling very well climbed onto my lap for a cuddle. She hugged me so tightly and told me she was so comfortable that she could just go to sleep there. I'm not sure which of us needed that hug more.

I'm not ashamed to admit that tears ran down my face and mixed in with her hair as I lay my face on that precious child's head.
