How come when you look up your health symptoms online (established medical pages by the way) they'll always tell you you might die?

I have this blister on the tip of my finger, I remember it forming weeks ago, and now it's white. I've had it happen before, but WEB MD is trying to tell me I'm going to die or that I have herpes.

Really?

I'm pretty sure it's for legal reasons... They would probably get sued if they said "it's likely not a big deal" and it turned to be one of the 0.00001% serious conditions... So they always mention the "worst case scenario", so no one can accuse them of not "warning" people of a possible serious condition...
