Why do people on here delete their posts?

I find a lot of people on here delete their posts when people don't agree with them. I'm not sure why that's necessary though tbh. I find it way more interesting if there are different opinions, even if they aren't the same as mine. Seems silly really lol

I deleted my last one because certain people were ganging up on me and group-reported it even though it didn't mention another member's name. The same old sameold, really.

Different people delete posts for different reasons.

i delete a lot of my posts cos they’re not meant to stay up forever or i change my mind on posting them

I've deleted two posts, I think, sort of at random. No one read them, from what I could see, and I thought, "Ooops, maybe that was a mistake" and there ya go, deleted. No ulterior motive.

I've seen a couple of folk here who claim to do it as routine maintenance. SW has no delete-account function which automatically clears all your posts and apparently there's a limit to home many posts/photos you can delete in a day so they trim their old posts and photos regularly as a way of keeping on top of it.

I've done it a couple of times when I thought beter of what I posted. Your first thought is not always the best thought.

I’ve wondered about that, too. The coins is an angle I hadn’t considered, except doesn’t the site subtract coins when you remove posts ? Eh, perhaps not.🤔
