If you have something brutally honest to say on their question or story.

Is that fair? Is it just plain rude? Honesty is no replacement for manners that much i am sure.

What do you think? Would you say it?

You can be honest without being brutal

Example is my answer to this question, I was honest but not brutal

@DukeOfEarle 😂😂
Well that was a meaningful, lucid, well thought out and practical assessment of EP versus SW. The Illuminati would like to welcome you to the inner core. You have until sundown to decide. We do not take “No” kindly. The air in your car’s tires will be drained at random times for the rest of your life should you decline. To say yes please put a large drawing of an unwinking eye in your front window. Thank you for applying. Semper Illuminatus! @SW-User

I can be brutally honest but still be nice about it
Sometimes there are these delicate little flowers on here that post questions knowing there are people just waiting to sledgehammer them. Not only do they get all the negative attention that they want, they can go cry to the moderators about it too. Now their lives are vindicated because they have something to pee in their diapers about as they kick and whine. I hope this answer wasn’t too brutal.

@DukeOfEarle No it wasnt. I really appreciate the honesty, maybe we should have more of it?
If the person posting is looking for honest answers then they should understand that it may not be what they want to hear. One can be "brutally" honest without being disrespectful.

I don't really do "brutal honesty". If someone is being an asshole I'll tell them they're being an asshole but that's about it.

I might. We can still be honest but use tact.

I always find it so ironic how many preach honesty but rarely want the honest truth.

I wouldn’t. But lots do..I think anonymity has a way of bringing out the worst in people
