Do you think users who are being muted by a large number of others should automatically be suspended as spam?

I'd think it's unfair as we won't know why caused the muting. Some mute, others block. All it shows is that the people muting/blocking the other doesn't want to be able to follow the ones in question.

I know I am blocked a lot because of my political/religious/sexual orientation/opinions. I don't even know how many have me muted. Would that mean I should be automatically suspended as spam because I have an opinion and am open about it?

We got TOS, and as long as people stay within those they will have an equally right to stay here as my, you, or anyone else staying within TOS.

We can't let others be judges, back on EP we did see the consequences when people would be automatically suspended by multiple flagging. There were secret flagging patrols that judged whether another member was suited to stay as member of EP or not. If you got on their list they'd make joined efforts to flag you off the site.

That will be my input on the subject.

I think not. I mute liberally but that's my choice, not somebody else's, and I don't want anybody making my choices for me. Then long-term end result would be an homogenous SW and I thought the purpose was the opposite?

how about using that as a baseline then visiting such profiles to make a determination, I'm okay with that

I' not so sure that is entirely right but it does send a message. And it may be that this site and how it is is NOT the site for them.

I believe that woudl create cliques worse than we already have. And those would cliques that form with the sole intent of getting rid of some on here. I was a victim of one of those on EP.

Naw - just because we mute some of the kinkier fetishists doesn't mean the site should ban them. Bans should only be administered on a case by case basis, IMHO.

Just because someone isn't to the tastes of some members around here, doesn't mean that they deserve to be suspended. I've seen how hate campaigns work on here and it worked out to my advantage... i wouldn't have liked for one of my friends to be suspended because of a hate campaign.

No, that would be something similar to EP and flagging when people just didn't like you. Too easy to get a large amount of people to mute and then your profile gets automatically suspended because they just didn't like you.

Then you have to create a new profile just to contact the moderators.

Just an information on how many people have muted a particular user would make it any user's own decision whether to mute them or not. I think that would be fair if something has to be done.

If they employ an elimination system like insta or fb, it could probably work

Ive never muted only BLOCKED and if they post the same thing over and over as a question i report as spam
