I Have Had Surgery
I had a hernia surgery back in Aug., 2015) I had to be there before 6 am because I needed a shot of blood thinners because I had a pulmonary embolism back in 2001 and the doctor didn't want to take any risks. The shot had to be given no less than 2 hours before the surgery (which was scheduled at 8 am).
I was pretty freaked out because I had never had surgery before at any time in my life before that day.
Luckily, nobody else was worried.
When I woke up, I was in a cold recovery room and was asked to take deep breaths. My teeth were chattering and a couple of times I pushed my chin up because it annoyed me so much.
The doctor said everything went great, that I laid there "like a champ". Lol
My doctor is really cool. He was in the military and worked in war zones, beginning as a medic when he was younger, later as an ER surgeon in metropolitan cities. He also boxed as an amateur. that's the reason I chose him as my primary: his specialty is emergency medicine.
I joked that he was the only man I knew who could beat up people AND fix them, if need be.
