I Own Guinea Pigs

I used to help a vet as a volunteer that run a pet store. It got to the point where so many unwanted guinea pigs were coming in so he ended up letting them come home with me to be looked after and rehomed. I ended up owning 27 at one point. Most of them were able to be rehomed, but some were too far gone. I now own 9 of them, including 2 blind ones that were going to get put down. They're not the only animals in the house but by far the most affectionate. I hope to one day work back there, it was a brilliant job.
