I Hate Cooking

How friggin long does it take chicken to thaw?! I took some thighs out of the freezer early on this morning and left them for about 11 hours.
My niece and nephew want chicken stir-fry so I prepared all the veg - that took ages 馃檮 and then started to cut the chicken. Some's ok and the other's still a bit frozen and now they're hungry. Reckon I'll have to make chicken stir-fry for them and veg stir-fry for me. And the dog can have a treat tomorrow with the extra chicken 馃槨馃敧

Pro tip: Put the package of chicken in your sink and run COLD water over it to thaw it faster.

@Conatus Cold water because it's a higher temperature than frozen?

@SW-User yes, cold water is still warmer than ice and hot/warm water could start to cook the meat on the surface.

Soak frozen chicken in a bowl of salted water - it should thaw in about two or three hours (maybe just a bit longer, depending on how much).
