I Think This Is Ridiculous

Aand yet another domestic abuser reigns down terror and bullets on innocent victims.😑 What a sad, tragic, and all too common story.😩 The lengths that these men will go to to have the last word, to seek their revenge, to spew their seething rage all over the place truly boggles the mind!😥 They will let nothing and nobody stop them.😞 I’m not a mean or vicious person in general but to this topic I take exception.😡 And what I have to say to them is this: You’re a sorry ass mother f#cking pathetic bully coward!🤢 There’s a special place reserved in hell just for “people” (more like monsters!) like you and I hope you freaking rot in it!!🖕

They should label domestic abusers as home terrorists.

Yeah cuz that’s exactly what they are!😑@SW-User

@SW-User Creating a new buzzword label won't solve anything.
The problem isn't what we choose to call it, it's how little punishment the behaviour receives.

Treat them like terrorists.
Bean17 · 46-50, F
Well I don’t know—people tend to react to the term “domestic violence perpetrator” with—it’s not in my house so it’s not my problem. But people snap to attention at the word “terrorist” so maybe it would actually help the general public realize the gravity of the situation and the possibile hazard that could (and does—repeatedly) affect all of us.@MethDozer

There should be a national watch list!@SW-User

Seriously. If you’re willing to terrorize your own family. I can’t imagine you have limits.

@Bean17 Honestly? I doubt it would. I would propose it would have the opposite effect. The " Oh brother effect" as I call it. We see it often in the social justice scenes with new terms were the convoluted redefining of things causes a backlash of the unintended result.

There's several things going on why it's ignored from sexism, to indifference to others suffering, even the perceptions created by couples of two bat shit crazy abusers who create a false sense of the reality of abuse. There's still this toxic idea that it " takes two to tango" that gets reinforced by a small minority of of abusive couples, that while true in those minority instances shines a dangerous light on the problem as a whole and muddles the reality for most abused spouses.

So true. A menace to their family and more and more we see that they are a menace to society as well. It’s shameful and disgraceful!@SW-User

@SW-User There's a limit. It's where he other person can have a chance of kicking YOUR ass.
Bean17 · 46-50, F
Well something needs to be done to wake people up that most of these mass shootings have roots in domestic violence. I don’t know what the answer is but I feel like it needs to be talked about and discussed because continuing on without any conversation about it isn’t doing ourselves any favors.@MethDozer

@Bean17 Agreed 100%. Not that you, I, or anyone is pretending to have all the answers but we need need to come together as the collective and reinforce a level of empathy and mutual human respect in each other while hampering those who refuse to. It's long over due and sickening how long it's been allowed to fester.
