I Want to Make Some Lasting Friendships

Don’t tell someone your whole life story, fears, and things no one or rarely anyone knows about you in the beginning of getting to know someone because the person is new to you and you’re new to that person. You’re not invested yet. Both of you haven’t decided that you’ll build a friendship together. Give each other time to learn of the other’s characteristics, habits, beliefs, values, and opinions. Leave the heavy stuff for the far future if you two choose to still be a part of each other’s lives. You open up about deeper subjects when the both of you are invested in the friendship.

You need time to determine whether or not you both meet each other's friend requirements.

Making friends online can be interesting, I always just seem to fall into friendships, never looking for them.

Same here. People find me; we talk; months later, we've become friends.

One should not reveal all in total of who you are. In time, maybe depending on circumstances.

I agree.
