Probably.The police I believe does not really want the public to know that at times they are relying on psychics to solve murders,as they probably for the most would be exposed to ridicule.In this story, after having solved that murder, the police got the credit,the psychic's help was hardly mentioned at all.

Sadly because of some people's prejudices against anything spiritual when applied to solving crimes and other things, the police is afraid to lose their credibility would they admit they had vital help from psychics in solving crimes so they tend to keep it from the public.
