I Want to Get Closer to God

The sign of a loving heart

Our enemies are out to hurt us. They want to steal from us, cheat us, and do evil against us. Yet Jesus says we are to be kind to them. What is his point? We reflect — or should reflect — God to the world, and God is kind — even to the unkind, the ungrateful, and those whom we consider to be "hopeless" cases. Kindness is ba<x>sed on the love we have for others, not the love others deserve.

Kindness is the sign of a loving heart, one of the greatest of all virtues. A kind person is pleasant, good, gracious — always appreciated. There's a lot of talk these days about "random acts of kindness." Maybe this is because we live in a society starved for good deeds. God is our model for kindness. The kindest act ever committed was God's sending his own Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so that we might live forever in heaven. God also showers us with kindness each day, sending sunshine and rain, food and friends, comfort and encouragement, boundless love and wisdom.

This is a subject worth a lot of reflection. I have a huge calling on my heart to love others .. most for those who are lost but at the same time not all of these are equal to me somehow. You see, I've found those who do not believe but are still searching for love and peace to be precious to me and beautiful. But then we have these who are hurt and lash out with anger in hate, just yesterday I had a young girl with all the wisdom of 15 years old tell me how she knew so much more of life than all my 50 years could possibly understand! Which makes not one bit of sense whatsoever. Out of the blue she showed up on one of my postings with a comment to leave her out of my prayers, and if I wanted to talk to anyone that I should go talk to the mirror because my mind was so messed up that she could not even take anything I said serious. Ok, so I have no clue what she is talking about because I never ever attack anyone concerning anything they post and I normally never even say anything unkind to those who just show up and attack me on my own postings. So I ask her what her problem is? She said I offended her just by talking! Ok .. that's not fair .. I have a right to talk and to post my opinions if she likes it or not. So, I told her to go away and therefore I would not even know she existed, if she did not show up I would not know she was even alive. Therefore I would not offend her and she could live her happy, unhappy life anyway she wanted. Then she tried to explain that she needed to tell me what she said because it made her feel needed? Ok .. then the more I thought about .. I truly believe this girl just really is looking for someone to love her. What else makes any sense why she would show up and act that way? So, now I'm a little confused on how to deal with these folks? So, I'm going to just keep praying and doing what I've always done .. love those who allow me to love them if they love me back or not I do not care. Does that make sense to you?

I feel that's my center, Love and silliness LOL That how I see it too; I respect their belief as long as they are walking the right path. I've seen when I cross one that doesn't believe in God and has a great heart, they tend to listen and take the advice, after that I pray for them and let God do his work...many times we get so caught up in the stress others are not believing because we know the beauty of our father. I now have found is God's timing to touch each one of them not ours, we are just tools..little by little God makes me think of all the things that need work in my life and all the glory is his, he makes wonders with our patience and love towards others.. I see we all have to go thru something so he can use that past and experience to help others going thru it, because we understand it and can share a solution that had a positive outcome in our life...everyone is beautiful, we all have a pure heart when we come to this world, this wicked world and people changes that by showing up and destroying all around us. evil knows how to work on people to get them away from God. I also see that actions speak louder than words, she's screaming for love and attention; sadly using the wrong approach making people get away from her :( This are tough ones! Too much hurt, at the same time those make me extra nice so they know my intentions are pure and I want to listen and help!
It makes completely sense, is hard but I feel all we can do is pray, care, listen, help and try to get them closer to salvation and pray pray pray! Use positive news and express all the blessing we find thru Jesus!

You so understand what I was trying hard to put into words!!! Thank you so much! I do have such a hurt and love for the lost of this world. I want to wrap my arms around them and help them to feel real love. Pray is the answer I truly believe! All things are possible through Christ Jesus who gives us strength and a path to walk upon!! I love you Katie Bug!! Never Ever change!!! I'm going to catch a flying fairy and fly down to see you lol. :D

This is sooo true! That's why when I wake up, I set my eyes on the sun shinning in my bedroom, thru my window! I thank God for a new day & decide it's gonna be a Beautiful Day!! :) God bless you! :)
