Have you ever thought the world was coming to an end...and then it did?

February 14, 2007. My world ended. And I found my own my very own hell.

And it’s true. It ended not with a bang, but a whimper... my whimper. 🥺

No. Once I stopped thinking the sky was falling and started thinking things were okay after all, it fell.

In my personal life it was unexpected, and I was caught unprepared.

On a global scale, though, I've wondered if the end was near. As we faced certain calamities changing our "world as we know it."
Witnessing 9/11 gave me pause for thought; as did the renewed threat of nuclear strike from a tyrannical regime, along with other global crisis throughout the years.

Indeed. That horrid sense of foreboding, then the grenade explodes. Leaving all those left maimed and broken. There is nothing like it.

No, every time it happened, it was totally unexpected.
