@RosaScura It could be different for you. But honestly, I also had friends who can be too clingy. When they're like that and I feel they're being unreasonable, I try to stay away for a while because it's like they're draining my peace and I want to focus on happiness and positivity.

Thank you 🙏. And I only got him chocolates. I said the oil to see if he reacted to it which he didn’t. I just wanted to see if it’s obvious that he doesn’t care. And to reassure myself that I’m not being over dramatic If I block him.

I have a professional job and am doing my masters and if I make plans with someone I’ll stick to them or rain check for a later date. It’s the civil thing to do isn’t it?
@RosaScura ignore his messages and calls and if you can't block him... I think sometimes we in situations like these talk too much and give an explanation when it's not needed. No answer is an answer.
@RosaScura but... He could be pissed that he had to work last minute... Especially if now it turned out he may have gotten lucky. You're the best person to know... It this is reoccurring rude behavior if just walk... But that's me.
One thing to keep in mind is that he is army. I'm hoping for his sake that he wasn't scheduled. You surely offered him enough incentive let alone just having some already planned and last minute. I hope you enjoyed yourself instead
This is what I saw: 1. You had plans previously, which you confirmed. 2. You subsequently had to work, unless that was your "out". 3. He has a totally different concept of where this is going.
Sounds like some bad communication here. I have women friends, but never got them massage oils and gifts for V day. Actually, nothing for V day. That's what boyfriends are for.
