Are you close to your family?

One of my friends decided not to go home for Thanksgiving. I was surprised. She told me it was because she wasn't close to her family, and she didn't want to talk much more in detail about it. I really wonder the reasons why, but feel like I should respect her privacy and not ask her more about it.

Yes. If and when she wants to discuss it, she will. I’m closest to my parents and my middle sister. I get along well with my brother. My youngest sister is estranged from us presently.
