Are there any words you find impossible to pronounce?

And why do you find it difficult?

I just can't pronounce "Horror" and "Terror" comfortably. I think it's because the English R-sound doesn't really exist in Norwegian (We have either rolling R's or soft, french-ish R's).
Horrific and Terrific is no prob, it's just the '-rror' thing.

@Bootsiebaby Cannot really explain it, but he confesses to it on an episode of Graham Norton on youtube.

Not me, but I had a Chinese complex analysis professor back in uni and the word "corollary" was her nemesis. She'd pause a tiny bit before starting, and then clamber over it like a rock climber and was visibly relieved to have made it to the other side in one piece. Poor lady, "corollary" was used like a million times in that class.

@SW-User Corollary is hard to pronounce even when you can pronounce 'r' well.

Veterinarian. That's not a word that rolls off my tongue very easily. I end up stuttering when I try to say it and when I finally manage to say it without stuttering, it ends up sounding more like veteritanian.

@Bootsiebaby The word "Norwegian" is an English word, so we still gotta use the English "r" 🤷‍♀️ it's fine if it's just one r, it's when two come directly after each other that it gets impossible lol

I don't know what the Scottish "r" sounds like so I don't know, but we (mostly) have the same trilling "r" as Italian and Spanish speakers do
