NO - If they go to jail it will open a can of worms, that means the person in charge of the college will also go to jail, the people that accepted the bribes will go to jail. If they do go to jail, they will start with all colleges that have kick backs to basketball players, football players will be in serious trouble

Regarding monetary gifts to colleges, coaches, etc, to influence their accepting your kid, absolutely not. Why, that would make it illegal for corps and wealthy people to give money to congresspersons to buy their votes.
