Do People with BPD tend to come across as unemotional or hard to read?

my aunt has BPD and she does seem unemotional on the outside but i know she struggles on the inside every day...people who suffer from BPD have my utmost sympathy and respect

@crownedwithlaurel97 But not people with schizoaffective disorder? We’re not friends anymore. 😤

@InvaderNice anybody who suffers from but still thrives despite a mental illness is incredible in my eyes!

They can be hard to read due to the volatility of their emotions. From being high to low. The problem is they have too much emotion. Like they can be intense which makes it hard in relationships. They want to connect but their condition often pushes people away.

Not the individuals that I have met. Their emotion stability goes from extreme high to low but that does not impact their ability to connect with others.

Stephen Frye Has BPD and I do not find him unemotional.

The few I have met are quite beguiling in their ability to feign love and affection.

@Harriet03 No see the BPD. Very sad affliction for those who have it and those who have to deal with those who have it.

They're horrible to deal with..so, in don't deal with them!
I suspect one of my siblings might be afflicted. But she seems more self-absorbed than unemotional.
