Shouldn't they call an actual hotline professional ?
Jibby · 56-60, C
@Genieinabottle yes but it's anonymous they can contact them just as easy as they can contact you. The people sitting near those phone lines are just as willing to talk to them so it's basically the same invitation. And those people might say something to the person in crisis that's very vital and could save their life..

@Jibby you haven't been suicidal have you? REAAALLLYYY suicidal? I don't think so. You don't think like us. Those things, the phone being impossible to hang up (which I have experienced personally) and the police showing up, which I have also experienced personally SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF US. THE loss of freedoms make it harder or impossible to do it. That is the last things we want. People avoid crisis lines but not only is it that it's not as easy to contact them.

@Genieinabottle see that's where you have no professional ability youre talkin to someone that lived on the streets for 2 years Hopeless Junkie.. I've seen plenty of you self-appointed messiah's who put way too much importance on yourself like you're going to swoop in and be the big hero.. not saying that you 100% cuz I don't know you like you don't know me but you can't tell me that's never happened to people before where are your qualifications?

Of course

@SW-User have you called a crisis line? It's a big step. A step that intimidates and keeps people from seeking help. It's interesting to note the haters though.
