I Have Done Corner Time
When we girls we sometimes used to get corner time as an extra when mum was in the mood. Standing there with red bum and hands on head - we called it 'wriggly bum time' - time seemed to stand still. Of course, being sisters we were not above teasing each other - sometimes by pretending to warm our hands by the hot bottom of the unfortunate sister who was in the corner!
I remember when I was about 12 I was standing in the corner having had my backside warmed and my pesky little sisters tried this trick. Unfortunately for them mum spotted them and told them if it was such a laugh they should have their turn!
So after a few minutes of yells and cries three corners of the room were occupied! 😄
