I collect vintage cameras. Some of mine are over 100 years old. I have over 40 so far and am always on the lookout for more finds. Usually when I get them, they are all gross and covered in guck and stuff. I take those ones apart and clean them from the inside out and/or make repairs. My very first old camera was a Polaroid spectra my dad gave me when I was little. I instantly fell in love with film and he went on to show me how to load and shoot 35mm cameras. Now I shoot with 120, 620, and 116 film cameras. You can't buy 620 or 116 film anymore, but I just buy 120 film and re-spool it onto old 620 spools. It's so much fun.

@AlphaPuppy if you're on SW then you have time... Skill is relative, cleaning and looking at them and how elegantly they were made is worth the moments spent!
@Some1Else oh I love them, they are beautifully made but unfortunately due to several different long term health conditions im unable to concentrate or focus long enough or actually access the memories of how to do many of the things I used to love doing, I get confused frustrated and angry very easily when I cant do the things I used to.. I don't like admitting that to myself or anybody else so I just say I don't have time
@AlphaPuppy OK Fair enough! I can imagine it's a hassle being like that! I got sick as hell for a month and totally forgot a 2 week technical class I had just gone to for work!
Luckily the equipment never broke while I worked there! Ha haHa! I would have have people angry at me!!!
@Some1Else I used to repair clocks and jewellery as well as do some restoration work on antiques, that's on top of crafting things from scratch and upcycling.. But now I can barely manage any of those things, and that upsets me a great deal
