I Love Shoes

I was sitting in a waiting room when I heard the click of heels approaching on the concrete floor. Suddenly I felt the need to get up and "go get a drink of water." Too late. The noise had stopped.

A few minutes later I actually did have to get up and leave the room and there she was. Lovely black patent shoes, nice pencil skirt and dark tights, I liked her outfit. But, of course, here's the catch. She was muttering to herself. No, she's not totally crazy, I see an earpiece and yes she's clutching her phone. She was a thousand miles away. Oh well, she missed out on the chance to be complimented by a real live person.
