It was my fault, I put my thumb in between the door and the wall (at hinge end). Idk why I did it, it was very cold and I couldn't really feel my fingers so I guess I didn't know where they were. The door blew shut and the nail got caught. It split...

@TheArbitrator I don't grow my nails out, I keep them at a sensible length. When it does come to cleaning my nails, I use a nail brush. Hopefully everyone else uses them too
