I Am A Strict Mom

With a large family here there is a great need for things to go smoothly in the mornings if all the kids are to get off to school on time with everything they need. As part of that kind of order we've drawn up a schedule that all of the kids can agree on. It ensures that there is plenty of time for each of them to use the bathroom and get ready while also getting dressed and being fed on time. The kids might feel that having to clean up after all of that can be put off but I insist they should leave the house as the found it in the morning!

Part of this means that I'm strict about the kids getting up on time and moving. There is no time in the morning for wasting time we'll just fall behind and never catch up. I consider my oldest old enough now to be able to deal with these tasks on her own she does not need her mom there to remind her to get up and take a shower.

Now I'm not sure if she had a long night or just wasn't in the mood but she was not up and moving by the appointed time this morning and was clearly grumpy. Of course she changed her attitude and decided to get a move on when she saw me in her door with my hairbrush but that was too late! I hope she'll be better with the responsibilities I've given her and she'll remember she's an example to her younger siblings

With more than one child, mom needs to run a tight ship, and the hairbrush is an indispensable tool for doing so!
