I Am A Strict Mom

Has anyone ever had a hairbrush wear out after a lot of years of use as a tool to correct misbehavior? I'm wondering what I should do with the brush I got from my own mom it's seen a lot of wear now and while it isn't the only one I use it has a lot of sentimental value to me. Perhaps it's time to retire it?

I used the same brush my mother used on me. I still have it in a drawer, and wonder if my daughter wants it as a souvenir. It was my granny's, so no doubt my mother also felt it - a sort of family tradition passed from mother to daughter. So far, my daughter has no girls so maybe that tradition will end.
