I Am A Strict Mom

Has anyone ever had a hairbrush wear out after a lot of years of use as a tool to correct misbehavior? I'm wondering what I should do with the brush I got from my own mom it's seen a lot of wear now and while it isn't the only one I use it has a lot of sentimental value to me. Perhaps it's time to retire it?

I wish I had my Mom's. She moved during my permissive parenting period. When I reverted I thought it would be great to tell my kids this is the same hairbrush that grandma spanked your mom with. But alas-- it was apparently lost in the move.

@beckychandler Sorry to hear that Becky. This one is both an antique and family heirloom and highly effective on a girls bare bottom as I well know. It's now taught over 10 girls how to behave

@beckychandler You can bet on that. Prior to such an experience, a mom's or dad's spankings were very abstract. Afterwards they are all too real!
