Am I Obsessed With Junk?...
At first glance,I thought the title said "thriftscores..."!
Yes,I must confess,most things I own are from one bargain bin or another...all my clothes,kitchen equiptment,stereo junk,chaos theories,bead supplies-they have had lives before I adopted them.Too bad most of the music I truly adore is rare/imported,those too seldomly appear 'round here-which in no way prevents me from scooping up whatever other music I can find,my collection is dizzying-perhaps more than one human can listen to in one life?ok,I'll die trying then...it hurts me to pay full price for something that I can score for a few sheckles locally.Most second-hand shops support a worthy charity of some sort,so I get a bonus feelgood factor out of that.And they just don't make things like they useta,y'know?
I have worked at St.Vincent De Pauls,volunteered at a few others ( a whole 'nother set of stories,assuredly)... I collect many strange cultural artifacts...(but there's another EP group for that)
