I wanted to take another post to acknowledge all the supportive souls I've come in contact with here.

We've all been there, don't allow it to steal who you are, or to make you feel you're not worthy of love or will never find it, all that does is allow this person who didn't deserve you in their first place
Further control of your life and decisions sometimes we want to believe something so much, we ignore our intuition, and someone being a good actor and a master manipulator don't help. You suffered a great loss when your Grandfather passed, don't beat yourself up for wanting to be loved, it's what we all want, beat HIM up for being a lying, cheating, coward, and move on, he just made room in your life for someone who will love you and does deserve you, and taught you what qualities you DON'T want in a man, you'll get through this, and be fine, HE however has to be with himself forever...thankfully you dont.
