White Entitlement

Why do Whites think they don't owe Blacks anything? Your ancestors enslaved an entire race, took from them, made them work for profit and then handed all that wealth down to you. Now you're gonna just keep that wealth and pretend it's yours?

After the Civil War, black men joined the Union Army and participated in the decimation of Indian populations for the purpose of greed and land. They raped and murdered countless men, women, and children. These people are still the most oppressed population in our country.

So let’s just shut the fuck up shall we?

@HotDad True. But here is something interesting. Many tribes have been offered reparations and have refused them. They take pride in their ancestors and the strength from which they fought. They prefer their dignity over a handout.

@HotDad Also, I’m not overly familiar; but, from the history I have read, Maori tribes are quite similar in strength and honor as North American Indian tribes.

@Pinkstarburst I have some friends among the Lakota peoples, and many of them still have relatives in federal prison for the revolt at Wounded Knee. They are an incredibly oppressed people to this day. It’s maddening. They don’t like white people very much, but they like me. They are able to recognize that what has been done to them has nothing to do with my ancestors.
