I Want Someone to Talk to

Who knew that looking for friendly conversation would be such a challenge. More often than not, an intriguing conversation here quickly turns to something lustful and fetish filled and when you’re just looking for someone to talk to, that doesn’t really cut It. Every person has their ‘thing’ and there’s no judgment about It but just once in awhile It would nice to experience something refreshing. I will just sit here in a constant teeter between searching for something different and the thought of just moving on to something else.

I'm wondering though, with no offense (heck, I'm wondering that myself lol) why would someone come on SW to look for meaningful discussion? Surely there are a number of places, offline and even FB, where women could find that easier.

Counterpoint: Due to the seemingly much lower amount of genuine women on SW, and their social popularity, it's MUCH harder for men. Maybe that's why men are looking for something else, lol.

@Faust76 my friends out in the ‘real world’ know me as one person and while that is who I am there are still parts I can’t openly express with them out of concern it will seem out of character to them. I love them and if they thought I was having a hard time, I know they would be as loyal as they always have but I guess as I grew up, I unknowingly filtered things out of my personality just in hopes for acceptance. I think everyone experiences that at some point in their lives. I mean high school alone was a challenge. You’re almost encouraged not to be yourself in high school just in order to survive.

@CoffeeBean Yeah I know that's one of the supposed points of anonymous places like SW, though people tend to have different circles of friends anyway. I can see it can be difficult to open up with someone that knows one in real life; though that in itself is a problem for why people don't do "friendly serious chat" with a stranger.

There are probably still other places people would go to before turning to EP/SW though, lol. But yeah I don't know, I'm on SW myself after all (though my reasons were probably not typical). Humans work in even more mysterious ways :p
